Section 1- Short title, extent and commencement
Sub Section (1)
This Act may be called the Limitation Act, 1963.
Sub Section (2)
It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sub Section (3)
It shall come into force on such date {1-1-1964; vide Notification No.S.O.3118, dated 29-10-1963, Gazette of India, Pt.II, Sec.3(ii), p.3918.} as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
