Motor Vehicles Act,1988 - Section 147
(Section 147 as amended in 1994) - Goods carrier - Owner of goods carrier - Insurance of owner of goods - Gratuitous passengers including owner of goods or his authorised representative who were not contemplated and specically covered under the insurance policy, were neither before amendment nor after amendment are not entitled to compensation from the insurer - The amendment makes insurance of owner of goods or his authorised representative travelling in the vehicle as compulsory.
