Plight of sex workers - Apex Court ordered Central and State Government to prepare a rehabilitation scheme for such workers - Panel constituted by court submitted report, praying for a direction to Central Government to provide infrastructure and funds - Held, endeavour should be made to make their lives respectable as they have got right to live with dignity under Article 21 - Direction issued to Central Government to provide funds and infrastructure as prayed for and further directed panel to include NGOs/social activists from Mumbai and Chennai also - Court not satisfied with the affidavits filed by State Government as they should have come out with specific Scheme for giving technical training to sex workers - Further directions issued to Social Welfare Department of Central and State Government to meet chairman of Panel to discuss proper Scheme - Concrete result awaited - Instead of applying for impleadment, appellant directed to approach panel and give assistance.
